--- My Wish for You for 2008 ---

May peace break into your house and may thieves
come to steal your debts.

May the pockets of your jeans become a magnet of $100 bills.

May love stick to your face and may laughter assault your lips!

May your clothes smell of success like smoking tires and
May happiness slap you across the face and may your tears be that of joy.

May the problems you had, forget your home address!

In s
imple words...
May 2008 be the best year of your life!
small thing to do but BIG impact!!!

When you notice the little positive things that people do and you acknowledge that to them,
It always brings a great big smile to their faces.
99.9% of the time, they know that nobody will ever notice and bring it up, but when it happens that 0.1% of the time, they will always remember who it was that took the time and attention to notice and acknowledge the effort made to just go those extra inches.

Wonderful mn!!!!

Hi all,
Have a nice day and wonderful weekend!!!

small words BIG thought!!!

So much time left. Really?
A good friend of mine died unexpectedly and I was struck by a particular passage in her obituary that read: "... and she thought she had so much time left ..." Isn't this true for all of us? We run around like busy bees, taking care of all sorts of things, and before we know it, days, weeks, and months have passed by. Suddenly we realize that another year has gone and then another and another. The question is, what are we doing to get the most out of the limited time each of us has?

Death is not the greatest loss in life.
The greatest loss is what dies inside us while we live.
- Norman Cousins

Be happy for this moment. This moment is your life.
Omar Khavyam

Don't we all dream of living a more fulfilling life? Why not stop dreaming and start taking action? How about inviting an old friend for dinner, calling your sibling just for a chat, remembering a birthday, helping someone in need, being a role model for others? Not only does this make others feel good, but your generosity of spirit will have a boomerang effect. It is called living positively. And that is time well spent!

Is there a phone call you are thinking about? Dial it now!

Cool mn!!!

Hi all,
Have a cool Emoticonsday ahead!!

Life is LIKE thatsmileys Central!!!!

A woman goes to the doctor for her yearly physical.

The nurse starts with certain basic items.

"How much do you weigh?" she asks.

"115," she says.

The nurse puts her on the scale.

It turns out her weight is 140.

The nurse asks, "Your height?"

"5 foot 8," she says.

The nurse checks and sees that she only measures 5' 5".

She then takes her blood pressure

And tells the woman it is very high.

"Of course it's high!" she screams,

"When I came in here I was tall and slender!

Now I'm short and fat!"

Good mn!!!

Hi all,
Have a good day ahead!!!

small words BIG Thought!!
A great many people are disappointed because of unrealistic expectations.
Walking up to a department store's fabric counter, an attractive young woman said, "I want to buy this material for a new dress. How much does it cost?"
"Only one kiss per yard," replied the smirking male clerk. Not to be taken back by the harassment, the woman said, "That's fine! I'll take ten yards."
With expectation and anticipation written all over his face, the clerk hurriedly measured out and wrapped the cloth, then held it out teasingly, leaning forward to receive his "payment."
The woman snapped up the package and pointed to a little old man standing beside her. "Grandpa will pay the bill," she smiled.
He was no doubt disappointed. But in the course of living, many people are disappointed when others do not live up to their expectations.
In order to be happy, some expectations must be dropped. These three particular unrealistic and unhealthy expectations are some of the main
1. Do not expect appreciation. When others say, "Thank you," or in any way show their gratitude, be happy. It is a gift!
2. Do not expect others to make you happy. They simply cannot do that. Make yourself happy and share your joy with others.
3. Do not expect not to be let down. At times, people will simply not come through for you in the way you need. Forgive them and move on.
Get rid of these three unrealistic expectations and you can begin to expect more happiness right away!

Excellent Mn!!!

Hi all,
Good mn!!!
Have a wonderful day!!

It's all how you see!!!
Have you ever felt that no matter what you do you'll get pain? For example, sometimes people feel that if they stay in a relationship they'll be miserable, but if they leave they'll be alone - and even more miserable. As a result, they do nothing.....and feel miserable!

Rather than feeling trapped, use your pain as your strongest ally. Think about what you've experienced in the past and the present. Feel the pain with such emotional intensity that it gives you the leverage to finally do something about it. We call this reaching emotional threshold. Instead of passively waiting for this inevitable emotion, why not consciously and actively produce it in a way that motivates you to make your life better, starting today?

This does not have to be applied to relationships, it can be used in any area of your life in which you feel pain. A great current example is debt, many people have fallen into the debt trap and can see no way out of the situation. There is always a way. Once you remove the emotion and look on any situation in a cold hearted way as if you were advising a great friend then you will be able to see the solutions. .

to every one!!!

Catch u back on Wednesday!!!

There are always difficulties arising which tempt you to believe that your critics are right.
To map out a course of action and follow it to an end requires...courage."

^^^^Good start with Good Thoughts!!!!^^^^ Gm.. :))

Hi all,
Have a splendid day ahead!!!

BIG words Wonderful Thought!!!

I meet regularly with a few friends and we ask one another that question. How is it with your soul? In other words, at the core of your being ... what is going on?
It's a bigger question than, "How are you feeling?" It includes body, mind and spirit -- everything.

I'm told that a hummingbird flaps its wings some 50-80 times a second. It must eat constantly to work that hard. It takes tremendous energy simply to live.
We, too, must feed our spirits if we intend to be healthy. It may include prayer or meditation or the practice of other spiritual disciplines. Or taking classes and reading books that not only teach, but uplift and inspire.

Use one of the greatest gifts you have been given is a gift of laughter. And it is a gift we never use enough.

A woman diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis told me how painful the disease had become. Debra said that no drugs would touch the devastating pain. "At times I prayed to die because I did not think I could go on this way," she said.
"In 1996 I began seeing a doctor who gave me the most important prescription that I ever could have received. He excused himself from the room. I watched him walking back and forth in the hall; he seemed to be in deep thought."

The doctor came back in with this prescription. He told Debra to get some funny movies and to begin laughing. If she didn't feel like laughing, then she should smile. If she didn't feel like smiling, she should smile anyway. He said that it would increase the endorphins in her brain to help with her pain.
She did just as he suggested. She smiled constantly. Her children teased her about the fake smile, but she told them that it was going to get rid of her pain.

And it did. Of course, not all of her pain is gone, but her newly acquired habit of laughing and smiling has made it manageable. And now Debra says that she takes only a fraction of the pills she used to consume, and that she would feel abnormal without a smile.
Someone beautifully said, "Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass -- it's about learning how to dance in the rain."

How is it with your soul? That may be the best question you can ever ask yourself..

Sweet mn!!!!

Hi all,

Have a nice day and wonderful week end!!!

small words BIG thought!!!

N2L - what's that?
The Internet is changing our writing habits. Instead of saying, "I'll talk to you soon," we write TTYS or even T2YS. CUS means "see you soon," LOL means "laughing out loud," and IMHO stands for "in my humble opinion." I would like to create a new abbreviation: N2L, which stands for "never too late." Want to learn a foreign language but think you're too old? Say N2L! Thinking of achieving an old dream but figure, "Not at my age?" Say N2L!

- Grandma Moses was 78 when she began painting

- Winston Churchill became prime minister at 65

- Goethe finished writing Faust at age 82

- Colonel Sanders was in his 60s when he started Kentucky Fried Chicken

- William Griffith Wilson was 43 when he founded Alcoholics Anonymous,
giving thousands of people new hope

The world is full of late bloomers and in today's language their motto is N2L. Whenever you doubt your ability to create and achieve something new, you should silently and just for yourself replace those doubts with N2L. And you could add another abbreviation that I just invented: GIAT - give it a try. Because that's the only way to find out where your real potential is. The only way to open the door to a new and fascinating experience.

Life is LIKE that!!!! :)))
THE RECEPTIONIST for the company where I'm employed found some cash in the office, apparently mislaid by a co-worker. She sent the following e-mail: "If anybody can say where they lost $66, please let me know and it will be returned to you." Within minutes one employee replied, "Kentucky Derby, 1986."

Goodie Mn!!!

Hi all,
Have a pleasant day ahead!!!

small words BIG thought!!!
Have you ever been in a situation that drove you crazy with anger, frustration, or feeling overwhelmed - yet today, years later, you can look back and laugh at the very thing that bothered you so much? We've all heard the old age "Someday you'll look back on this and laugh."

Why wait? Why not laugh at it now!

Try this today. Laugh at something you previously thought was unbelievably stressful. Do you feel like you're a little more in charge of the situation.

Remember the past is just that and there is nothing any of us can do about it. However we can shape our present and forge our future. Therefore if we can develop the capacity to laugh in the face of trouble then we will be much happier, more in control of our emotions and able to cope with the stresses of life.

Nice mn!!!

Hi all,

Have a nice day ahead!!!!

Something every one should know!!!!

Subjects like physics, calculus and biology are challenging for most students. But imagine tackling these topics without being able to see the graphs and figures used to teach them, and you will know the plight of blind students.

Now, scientists in the US have developed a new smartpen and paper technology that works with touch and records classroom audio, aiming to bring these subjects to life for the visually impaired.

“Mainstream approaches to teaching STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) courses all rely strongly on diagrams, graphs, charts and other figures, putting students with visual disabilities at a significant disadvantage,” said Andy Van Schaack, a lecturer in Vanderbilt University’s Peabody College of education and human development.

“Our goal is to enable students and teachers to produce and explore diagrams and figures through touch and sound by using a smartpen and paper technology that is low-cost, portable and easy to use.”

Van Schaack worked with Joshua Miele, a blind researcher at the Smith-Kettlewell Eye Research Institute. Together, they applied the new technology, created by technology firm Livescribe, to this effort. Van Schaack is Livescribe’s senior science adviser.

“My area of expertise is instructional technology. I spend a lot of my time trying to figure out how to use technology to make teaching and learning more effective, efficient and accessible,” Van Schaack said.

“A new world of possibilities has opened for the creation of portable, low-cost, high-quality accessible graphics enhanced with audio,” he said. “For example, a visually impaired psychology student could learn neuroanatomy by exploring a diagram of the brain, with each lobe, gyrus and sulcus’s name spoken as the smartpen touches it.”

The smartpen recognises handwritten marks through a camera inside its tip that focuses on a minute pattern of dots printed on paper. It captures over 100 hours of audio through a built-in microphone and plays back audio through a built-in speaker or 3-D recording headset.

The pen also has a USB connection, allowing for recorded files to be uploaded to a student’s computer for future use.

One of the key aspects of this gadget is that it will be much more affordable and portable than previous products used for this purpose. Students can simply put it in their backpacks with the rest of their books and notebooks..

The researchers will be using a prototype of the Livescribe smartpen with a Sewell Raised Line Drawing Kit – a Mylar-like film that is deformed when a student writes on it with a pen, creating raised drawings. The students will thus be able to touch a hand-drawn figure with their smartpen to hear audio explanations of its features.

As for other uses of the smartpen, Van Schaack believes the possibilities are endless.

“It really is a new computer platform. It has most of the technology found in a laptop, but gets its information from handwriting rather than a keyboard,” he said.

“One of its most immediate uses that I see will be for college students. It will allow them to spend more time listening in class while taking more of an outline form of notes and revise them later, giving them the opportunity to annotate for accuracy and additional detail.”

The smartpen is expected to hit stores in 2008 at a cost of less than $200 (Rs 7,900 approx). The Livescribe interactive notebooks will cost about the same as a good quality notebook, the researchers say.

Cute mn!!!

Hi all,
Gm.. Have a cute day ahead!!!

Small words BIG thought!!!
Pushing your buttons? You are a kind, compassionate, and helpful person and you smile often. Does this guarantee that everybody will love you? Good question. Most people will love you for your caring and understanding nature. But there will always be experts in taking advantage of people such as you. They know which buttons to press - and when to press them. And their insincerity is often devilishly well concealed behind a mask of kindness, helpfulness, and empty words.
We grow a little every time we do not take advantageof somebody's weakness.- Bern WilliamsThere will always be bad guys out there in the world who will try to take advantage of people's vulnerabilities.- Bill Clinton
If someone is trying to take advantage of you, does that mean you should hit the brakes and steer clear of the person? No! You should do that only as a last resort - only after you have asked yourself some questions, such as: is this situation a one-of-a-kind event or part of a pattern? Have I overlooked any warning signs? Am I too concerned about being liked by everybody? Then look behind the motives of the person and draw your conclusions - but only concerning that person. Don't start doubting yourself and others around you. Remember the first sentence in this email? Is someone pushing your buttons? Investigate his or her real motives.
